TAYTAY, Rizal – A lone gunman shot in the head a former barangay chairman of a lakeshore community known for yielding solid votes, and probers are eyeing the political angle, as the victim had recently joined the camp of the incumbent mayor. Initial reports from the local police identified the casualty as 40-year old Avelino delas Alas, former chairman of Barangay Sta. Ana in this municipality east of Metro Manila.
